DUOWEB Software principles
These are some of principles we use when developing software. If you feel the same way, there is a good chance you will like software built by DUOWEB.
Software should be as a hammer
- you should not need instructions how to use it
- it should be as simple as possible but not too simple
- software should never change under fingers, unless user specifically instructs it so. New features are not excuse for changing layout or appearance
- once you install software, it should treatsitself as physical box-product. User should feel ownership and not havea feeling that someone from far away can any time change remotely the software's design, functions and layout
- lack of functionality is not a bug but feature
Software should be calm
- Calm software is not for everyone, but those who are in search for calm software understand this and are thankful for it
- Calm software should be as least obtrusive as possible, when user doesn't know about the software running, then thats prove that software is well-built
- Calm software respects that user's attention and time is expensive and therefore requires it only when it is really absolutely neccessary. It should stay quiet and focused, helping the user work without interruptions, distractions, or unnecessary notifications.
